Person in charge of classroom teaching activities
This is the person who carries out teaching activities in a classroom on behalf of the university:
- course teachers
- contract lecturers
- assistants
- auxiliary teaching staff and all persons appointed to teach.
The person in charge of classroom teaching activities holds the function of Supervisor. Duties include:
- overseeing students’ compliance with any safety instructions they have been given
- ensuring that classroom seating capacity is not exceeded
- promptly informing the Health and Safety Services Unit of any dangerous conditions that arise during lessons or about which they become aware
- implementing emergency procedures, paying particular attention to people with reduced or no mobility
- making sure, in the event of evacuation, that everyone leaves the classroom in an orderly fashion and accompanying students to the safe area specified in the evacuation plan
