Students

Students who frequent PoliTO facilities have a duty to observe all health and safety instructions.

Students must:

• observe the rules and follow the instructions given to them by classroom teaching staff
• follow the directions provided by fire-prevention and first aid staff in an emergency
• not remove or modify any safety, warning or control devices unless duly authorised
• not carry out operations or manoeuvres which do not fall within their competence on their own initiative or that could undermine their own safety or that of others

During periods in which students are assigned to “laboratory activities” they are temporarily regarded as “workers” and, as such, have all the related rights and duties.
